The District has openings in the positions listed below. Persons interested in applying for these positions should obtain an application form from the District located at 126 Alton Adams Dr., Waxahachie, Texas, or download the application form from this site.

Customer Service Representative

Job Summary

Our Customer Service Representative assists customers with their water utility account by taking payments and answering questions about billing and usage. The ideal candidate can handle stressful situations in a calm and efficient manner that provides the customer with a satisfactory outcome while following company policy. The candidate must be willing to learn and adapt to new processes and technology, and be willing to educate customers about this technology. Having a positive and strong professional demeanor is essential.

Responsibilities and Duties

Ability to handle heavy customer volume (phone calls, drive-through, walk-ins)

Ability to handle customers that may be upset or irate in a tactful and respectful manner

Daily balancing of cash drawer

General filing and scanning

Miscellaneous projects as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

Excellent Attendance and Punctuality is REQUIRED

Must be a High School Graduate or Equivalent

Two (2) years minimum in a Customer Service Environment

One (1) year minimum cash handling experience

Proficient with 10-key by touch

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook

Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Ability to adapt to new and changing technology

Must exhibit Patience and Attentiveness towards Customers

Clear Communication Skills

Problem Solving Skills

Attention to detail

Willingness to learn

Possess time management skills and ability to Multi-Task

Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not required
